An interesting way to finance your breast implants

Where a need in the market exists, someone will fill it. In an era where there are literally hundreds of ways to finance Plastic Surgery, I give you My free breast implants.com is a website that purports to be a "matchmaking" service between women who want breast implants and people who wish to "help them out" to pay for it. More than 1,000 women and more than 5,000 men donors are currently on the site, and an estimated 20 women have gotten free breast implants in the year that the MyFreeImplants has been up and running. The money goes directly from the Web site to the surgeons apparently with the webmaster taking a 10% commission.
"It works similar to any other social networking Web site like Facebook or Myspace. A guy signs up and a girl signs up they each create their own profile. They got their own bio. They got photos and basically you start trying to meet people on the Web site," founder Jason Grunstra said.

I guess it shouldn't be surprising when tens of millions will pay $1 per vote by phone to participate in the electoral college of American Idol that you'd get people contributing for people's cosmetic surgery they'd never met. Strange but (apparently) true.

Many of the major banks have watched the growth in cosmetic surgery, cosmetic dentistry, fertility medicine, and laser eye surgery with interest as well. Most of the big boys have divisions of their bank devoted specifically to this market. Oliver Plastic Surgery, for instance, uses Capital One Bank's program. These various programs give fairly favorable interest rates based on some calculus of your credit score.

Its great that men are actually ponying up for "the show". If you are not lucky enough to be one of the 20, you can do like I did and look for ways to save money on the surgery you want. During my journey from 36a to 36C, I found a book on the web called "How to Save Money on Plastic, Cosmetic, and Reconstructive Surgery". It was filled a lot of very unique money saving secrets from an industry insider. After reading it I realized that almost all of the $$$$ tips she gave were not found anywhere else on the web. She helped me save over $2,000! Its about Saving Money on Plastic Surgery and a whole lot more.
I hope this helps someone else improve their self-image sooner than they imagined.

Interestingly enough, my first thought when seeing the Free Implants website was that it was a form of very soft prostitution. The girls chat online 1 on 1 (what do they chat about?), provide "custom" photos (includes special requests from their customers), "and more". Hmmm. It all sounds very nice but I'm sure the site gets it's share of porn obsessed men. The one good thing I can say is that, at least the girls have the option of how far they want to go. I'm also sure that the more they put out and show, the more $$ they will get. It's not something I would want my teenage daughter doing.

I don't know, I think this is scary on so many levels. I work for a Long Island plastic surgeon who specializes in breast augmentation, and as a woman and a medical professional, I find the whole thing degrading. It's just pay-per-view porn, I think. Every day I see women with legitmate, healthy reasons to get breast implants, but they save up for them or get financing the old fashioned waay. Breast implants are a serious decisions and I can't even imagine waking up everyday thinking about how some drooling weirdo paid for mine.

Is this for real? People will actually "sponsor" for a surgery?
