Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! I've got a lot of ideas floating around for some interesting (to me) writing coming up here on Plastic Surgery 101.

Putting this here since you reference ideas for future articles, albeit your own and not from readers. =)
Have you considered doing an article on the different methods of male-to-female SRS, and why proven methods like those of some of the modern Thai doctors (Dr. Suporn, , or ) have not gained much traction in many "Western" surgeries, especially in the UK, Australia, and parts of the US, where the 'classic' method of penile inversion is still used.
Penile inversion, as a method, was a great method for it's time. But it's time has passed, and the results it offers are comparatively barbaric.
Full disclosure: I am a very happy patient of Dr. Suporn. I chose to go to him rather than a local surgeon in Australia as he does a one-stage process and uses pretty much every shred of donor material he can. His results are nothing short of artistry.
I had very little in the way of 'traditional' donor material. Like many transsexuals, I would have had results with either very little, or no, depth with penile inversion. Also, the aesthetic quality and sensitivity of PI is dramatically less.
I got a lot of people who assumed that I was going to Thailand for surgery who thought it was due to either legal reasons, or more commonly, for a 'cheap sex change'. Neither of those is true; I paid more than most people can imagine for what has, truly, been a life-saving operation, and I went where I did because Dr. Suporn is the best of the best.
So, yeah. Why are Western surgeons falling so far behind?
